http://www.rhinoplastyspecialist.comrnEnter the operating room and see first-hand how nose surgery is performed and learn about each specific procedure with Beverly Hills Rhinoplasty Specialist Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon internationally known for his innovative surgical techniques and expertise in revision & ethnic rhinoplasty.rnrnIn this video you\'ll discover how the patients own natural cartilage and fascia is used to build-up, or augment, the nasal dorsum, also known as the bridge of the nose, increasing it\'s height which makes the nose appear less wide.rnrnMany different materials are used to elevate the bridge of the nose. The main decision that the surgeon makes is whether to use natural materials taken from the patient or whether to use one of the artificial materials that are safe to place in the nose. rnrnThe most common natural material is cartilage, which can be taken from the nasal septum, or from the ear, or from a rib. The location from which the cartilage is taken depends mostly on how much cartilage is needed. If a very large graft is required, rib will be used. The nasal septum or the ear can serve as a source of cartilage for smaller grafts.rnrnWatch the experience of the patient who underwent this and many other procedures during her ethnic, or westernization, rhinoplasty at... rnhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QobQdRapPfsrnrnDr. Nassif\'s practice, Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery, is located in Beverly Hills, CA.rnhttp://www.spaldingplasticsurgery.comrnrnOPERATIVE TECHNIQUE:rnBruised conchal cartilage wrapped in temporalis fascia was placed as an onlay dorsal graft from the radix (approx 4 -5mm) to the supratip (approx 3 mm) region. http://www.rhinoplastyspecialist.comrnEnter the operating room and see first-hand how nose surgery is performed and learn about each specific procedure with Beverly Hills Rhinoplasty Specialist Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon internationally known for his innovative surgical techniques and expertise in revision & ethnic rhinoplasty.rnrnIn this video you\'ll discover how careful execution of meticulous incision closure will result in a faint, barely perceptible scar, even in dark-skinned patients. rnrnClosure of the transcolumellar incision is greatly facilitated by a properly executed incision with multiple alignment points. However, accurate and secure flap approximation is also fundamental to a satisfactory outcome. When vertical wound tension prevents gentle flap approximation, a midline subcutaneous suture of 6-0 Monocryl is often necessary to approximate the flap edges. This deep-layer closure shifts tension to the subcutaneous tissues and prevents gradual widening and inversion of the final scar. Surface alignment is then accomplished at each flap corner with a simple interrupted suture. Surface sutures are placed close to the wound edge at superficial depth to ensure precise edge alignment. rnrnAttention to detail and meticulous technique are critical to satisfactory scar camouflage. Although tedious, these efforts are typically rewarded with the creation of a faint, inconspicuous surgical scar in virtually all rhinoplasty patients. rnrnWatch the experience of the patient who underwent this and many other procedures during her ethnic, or westernization, rhinoplasty at... rnhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QobQdRapPfsrnrnDr. Nassif\'s practice, Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery, is located in Beverly Hills, CA.rnhttp://www.spaldingplasticsurgery.comrnrnOPERATIVE TECHNIQUE:rnThe columellar was closed in the subcutaneous layer with 5-0 PDS and the skin incision was closed with interrupted 6-0 Prolene and 5-0 fast gut in the columellar portion and interrupted 5-0 chromic for the marginal incisions.rnrnVideo Produced by Spore Medical,rnhttp://www.sporemedical.com

I had to have Revisional Right Upper Eyelid Surgery due to a previous surgery I had a long time ago that left a lot of eye scar tissue and made it so I was unable to close my eye.rnrnSome of the most dreaded complications of facial plastic surgery are those associated with the eyelids. The eyes and eyelids are very sensitive structures and are not as forgiving. As an oculoplastic surgeon with expertise in plastic surgery around the eye, a majority of Dr. Kami Parsa\'s referrals are patients who have had previous complications with facial plastic surgery and now require cosmetic and functional correction, around the eyelids. Depending on the specific problem, the necessary correction may involve a simple procedure, eye scar tissue surgery, eye scar treatment or a complex eyelid reconstruction. Our goal is to regain normal function while maintaining aesthetic outcome.rnrnEyelid Surgery Before and After - The Procedure in High SpeedrnrnKami Parsa, MDrnOculoplastic Surgeryrn465 N.Roxbury Drive, Suite 1001rnBeverly Hills, CA 90210rnrnVideo Produced by James Mutter, jim@bestinplastics.org
